Level: Elementary (Level 1) The Technic Is Fun series offers piano students a series of graded studies for the development of technic, style, and musicianship. These studies reinforce the technical requirements found in method books and in standard piano repertory. The etudes found in this series not only build technic and musicality but have been carefully selected to provide refreshing recital repertoire as well as to develop a strong musical and technical foundation. The Elementary A volume introduces staccato and legato playing, parallel and contrary motion, balance between melody and accompaniment, two-note, three-note, and phrase groups of different lengths, broken chord accompaniment, legato thirds, different articulations in each hand, and canonic imitation. Pieces are in the keys of C major, A minor, G major, E minor, and F major.

Level: Early Advanced (Level 7) This volume in the Technic Is Fun series offers early advanced level piano students graded studies for the development of technic, style, and musicianship, and reinforces the technical requirements found in standard piano repertory at this level. These etudes not only build technic and musicality but also have been carefully selected to provide refreshing recital repertoire as well as to develop a strong musical and technical foundation. The Early Advanced volume focuses on balance between the hands, shaping and voicing a melodic line, ornamentation, articulation, finger repetition, velocity studies, dynamic shading, and chromatic passagework.
